Santa Cruz has this magical ability to turn visitors into residents. One of our favorite places in Santa Cruz is the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Kids (and adults) love to ride the vintage 1911 Looff Carousel or get their hearts pounding high up on the Giant Dipper roller coaster. Downtown Santa Cruz has a great mix of vintage clothing stores, high-end shops, cafes, and fine dining. For breakfast or lunch, we like the Harbor Cafe. Their Bloody Marys are the best and they even have a menu for your dog! Our advice is to make time for waiting in line. It’s a popular place. One of the best places for an ocean view and great seafood is the Firefish Grill on the Santa Cruz Wharf. The views from the Wharf are breathtaking.
