Santa Cruz Shelter in Place 2020: Day 100
Can you believe that, awhile back, we hit Day 100 of the Shelter in Place here in Santa Cruz? I hope that you are all staying safe and sane out there!
In the morning I went on a nice walk with my friend, Lauren. And afterwards, I biked over to West Cliff to watch Danny, Ellia, and our friends surf at Cowells. And later on, I was super excited because Josh finished fixing our floor! He is such a genius! So, we were finally able to put our washer and dryer back inside without any fear of another water leak. And we were able to put up the cabinets inside our laundry room once again. Sometimes it’s the little things that make you so happy.
Santa Cruz Shelter in Place 2020: Day 101
On Day 101 of the Shelter in Place here in Santa Cruz, Danny got in his new Dunton Woodworking shirts and they are incredible!
And later on, my toilet started overflowing. I mean, I really have to stop listening to the water flowing meditation because literal flowing water has been popping up all over my house! So I had to deep clean the entire bathroom. Luckily, I got to enjoy a socially distanced glass of wine with my friend, Jen afterwards to cheer me up. And at dinner we had a really precious family moment, but neither Ellia nor Danny wanted to share it with the world! Sorry guys, I guess it will have to stay with us! And Ellia shared that she hasn’t remembered to drink water all day!! How do you get your kids to drink water during all the fun summer activities?
I hope that you and your family are doing well and that you are happy! Stay tuned for Day 102 of the Shelter in Place here in Santa Cruz!

Real Estate Update Time:
We’ve seen quite a few new listings come on the market this week, more and more each week. We are about 2.7 months of absorption rate. Which means that it would take 2.7 months for all of the inventory that’s on the market right now, to sell. So, that’s still considered a seller’s market. But despite all that, my client who owns 4300 Soquel Drive #226 is wanting to sell now! And we’ve reduced that property to $379,000, which is a really good deal. It’s in Alimur Park, which is a resident owned park, and the home is absolutely stunning with high ceilings, and it’s light and bright. Check out the Queen Bee Home Tour video of this home, which was entirely my daughter’s idea.
And more exciting news!! We have a new listing in Aptos!! 3072 Aptos Hill Lane is 3 bedroom storybook home will be coming onto the market next week! This home is simply incredible and I cannot wait for you to see it. Not only is there a lemon tree, tons of flowers, a hot tub, a large backyard, a sunroom, and an upgraded kitchen, but there is an ocean view! Stay tuned for a fun storybook themed video tour of this ocean view home!! Reach out to me if you have any questions about this home, or if you’d like to see it before it hits the market!!
If you are currently wondering what the Santa Cruz Housing Market is doing during the Coronavirus Pandemic, feel free to reach out to me. I’d be happy to answer any questions that you may have. But on March 28th, President Trump updated the essential business list and added Residential Real Estate. Meaning, that Realtors are allowed to continue working, while exercising extreme precautions, as mandated by the CDC.
With that being said, if you are currently looking to Buy a Santa Cruz Home, during the Shelter in Place, I would love to assist you in your Santa Cruz Home Search. There is not the usual amount of inventory as we normally see at this time, but mortgage rates are historically low. Now may be a great time to buy, as long as you’re willing to be patient for your dream home to come onto the market.
If you are currently thinking about Selling Your Santa Cruz Home during this Shelter in Place, now may be a great time to put your home on the market. With inventory being low, the demand increases. Meaning, that some homes are seeing multiple offers and bid wars. I’d love to schedule a complimentary and confidential consultation with you to see how Fox Realty Group INC. can creatively market your home!
