Santa Cruz Shelter in Place 2020: Day 21
Day 21 of the Shelter in Place Ordinance here in Santa Cruz was a gray and rainy Sunday, but we had such a great time! If you know me, you’ll know that I have to make my bed, every day. And if you live with me, you’ll know that my family gets pissed at me, because I make the bed with them in it. If they’re just relaxing, I have to make the bed, and they get not so happy. So I made the bed with Danny still hanging out in it, that way he was comfortable and the room felt more organized!
We also had a little face mask factory going on. Ellia is making the cutest face masks for her friends and family. We got all the supplies at a local company called Santa Cruz Vac and Sew. And she taught herself how to make these gorgeous face masks, which we’ve been wearing everywhere lately.
While Ellia made face masks, Danny was cooking in the kitchen, and I was studying for my third brokers exam. And I passed! Woo! I am so excited! Rainy Sunday afternoon, passing tests at home. So now I just have to pass two more tests before I can apply to take the California State Brokers Exam. Woohoo!
Later on, Danny paid Ellia $30 to help him sand some cabinets at work in his shop, Dunton Woodworking. Ellia has been on a money making kick during this quarantine and is asking us to do things for Danny and I, for money. Which is cool for us parents, since we are both still working. So later, Danny offered to pay Ellia $10 to fix a hole in his PJ’s. Which I think is funny, since those pajamas probably aren’t worth more than $25. So I think Ellia got a really good deal to sew them back up, especially if it takes her less than an hour to do. What do you think of that deal? Is that a good deal? Are you paying your kids to do things around the house right now? How are you keeping your children busy?
Ellia’s joke of the day was, “Come quick, the toilet is smoking!” Which is pictured here. I cannot tell you how hilarious I thought this joke was. It actually looks like the toilet is smoking!
And the quote of the day was: “Face mask is the new handbag.” -Danny.

But on March 28th, President Trump updated the essential business list and added Residential Real Estate. Meaning, that Realtors are allowed to continue working, while exercising extreme precautions, as mandated by the CDC.
With that being said, if you are currently looking to Buy a Santa Cruz Home, I would love to assist you in your Santa Cruz Home Search. There is not the usual amount of inventory as we normally see at this time, but mortgage rates are historically low. Now may be a great time to buy, as long as you’re willing to be patient for your dream home to come onto the market.
If you are currently thinking about Selling Your Santa Cruz Home, now may be a great time to put your home on the market. With inventory being low, the demand increases. Meaning, that some homes are seeing multiple offers and bid wars. I’d love to schedule a complimentary and confidential consultation with you to see how Fox Realty Group INC. can creatively market your home!

Whatcha got babe? Brand new face mask. Face mask is the new handbag. Do you think we’re gonna have coffee? I’m gonna make some. Oh, oh, that’s nice. I’ll go get it for you. Thank you. If you know me, you’ll know that I have to make my bed, every day. And if you live with me, you’ll know that my family gets pissed at me, because I make the bed with them in it. If they’re just relaxing, I have to make the bed, and they get not so happy. But, you’re cozy right now, and it’s all organized. Whatever. Happy? Sure. Happy Sunday. We got a little factory going on. Child labor laws do not apply. Oh, look. How beautiful. One beauty. Oh, is this one for Grandma? Whose this one for? Grandma. Grandma. And this one’s for? That one’s mine. That one’s so good. I love ’em. Yeah, that one was the first one. And then, look what Dad made for you. Wow. Sunday. And then, this is what I’m doing today. My next exam preparation. And this is what Danny’s doing today. Check out the kitchen. Danny’s working like a master. So, Ellia just came into our room, and she said, “Come quick, the toilet’s smoking.” We’re like, “What?” So then, we went into the bathroom with her, and, the toilet is smoking. I can’t even stand it, it’s so funny. Such a good joke, Ellia. It’s a gray Sunday, and I just passed my third broker exam. I have two more before I can sign up for the state exam, so I’m super stoked. Woo! Woo! Woo! Woo! Rainy Sunday afternoon, passing tests at home. Have a good day. Thank you for dinner. May I please be excused? And then, what was the other move you made? Thank you, bye. Ellia just got back from the shop with Danny, and she was helping him sand. And did you earn money? I earned $30. That’s pretty good. And now, what are you doing now? Um, um, this? I’m sewing his PJs that had the hole in them. Sewing Dad’s PJs up? And what’s he paying you for that? Um, $10. Well, what do you think of that deal? Terrible, because they’re really broken. And so, they need a lot more work than you expected. $10 is still a pretty good deal, I think. Dad, what do you think about that? Do I think, if she can do it in under an hour, that’s a really good deal. If it takes over an hour, then it’s on her, right? As learned in a previous video, people. That’s right. And how much are those things new? $25 or something. They’re what? Yeah, so it’s not worth more than $10 to fix, but, yeah, those are a very, very special gift from the pearls. And so, I need to keep them in tip top shape, and I’m willing to pay to keep those things, keep those things in action. The best gift of all time, especially in these times.
