Santa Cruz Shelter in Place 2020: Day 24
Day 24 of the Shelter in Place was Ellia’s friend, Maya’s, 11th birthday. So all of Ellia’s friends did a birthday parade for her, from our cars. It was the sweetest thing, all the girls made signs, we honked our horns, and sang our heart out. I know that Maya really appreciated it. But of course, it is not the same as having an actual birthday party. I know all the kids are excited to go back to normal and celebrate together. I think it would be fun to have one big birthday party, after this is all over, in order to actually celebrate all the birthdays that happened during the shelter in place. How have you all been celebrating birthdays during this time of social distancing? I would love to hear other creative and safe ways you are celebrating your loved ones.
Ellia is still at it with her face mask making. She received more orders today and was hard at work fulfilling those orders. Danny is one of Ellia’s employees, who she isn’t paying. And he started to complain of unsafe working conditions, so Ellia “fired” him. But don’t worry, he got his job back with Ellia and he’s fine! Let me know if you would like to put an order in for some of Ellia’s beautiful face masks! She’d love to make one for you!
One of the little things that I am thankful for today is that my orchids are starting to bud. Which means that my flowers are going to sprout really soon! And I love orchids, they are my favorite flower, so I cannot wait. Trying to focus on the little amazing things happening around me! It’s important to do things for the mind everyday to stay positive, right? What are you doing for your mental health during this time?
Stay tuned for day 25 of the Shelter in Place here in Santa Cruz!

If you are currently wondering what the Santa Cruz Housing Market is doing during the Coronavirus Pandemic, feel free to reach out to me. I’d be happy to answer any questions that you may have. But on March 28th, President Trump updated the essential business list and added Residential Real Estate. Meaning, that Realtors are allowed to continue working, while exercising extreme precautions, as mandated by the CDC.
With that being said, if you are currently looking to Buy a Santa Cruz Home, I would love to assist you in your Santa Cruz Home Search. There is not the usual amount of inventory as we normally see at this time, but mortgage rates are historically low. Now may be a great time to buy, as long as you’re willing to be patient for your dream home to come onto the market.
If you are currently thinking about Selling Your Santa Cruz Home, now may be a great time to put your home on the market. With inventory being low, the demand increases. Meaning, that some homes are seeing multiple offers and bid wars. I’d love to schedule a complimentary and confidential consultation with you to see how Fox Realty Group INC. can creatively market your home!

What’s going on, Danny? Well– Do you have a workplace complaint? Yeah. I’m here, working off the ground. And so, you think that those are unsafe work– Yeah, I think we should take some of the profits of the business, Yeah? and buy a workbench. A workbench is expensive. You’re fired. You just fired him? Yeah. Isn’t he working for free? And complaining too much, huh? You better get it together. I know. I’m gonna have to go back to my real job. Ugh, where there is a workbench. Good morning. Guess what? I love orchids. They’re my favorite flower. And we have them on our garden box window. Garden window. Garden window. In the kitchen. And two of them are about to burst with blooms. Look, check it out. I’m really excited. That makes me happy. This is called the modern day work mullet. See, it’s like business on top, and party on the bottom. Ellia is back at it. She’s really trying to fulfill her orders. Working tirelessly, we stayed up till after 10, making masks. Our first order is ready to go. We’re gonna ship that to Utah, and we got more on the way. What are you doing? Getting my D from my S thing. And you just straighten your hair? Okay, but I need your help, because this part. Okay. I’ll help you in a little bit. Let me finish working. What’s up, Ellia? What kind of haircut is that? What did you learn how to do? A fishtail braid. Oh my gosh, that’s beautiful. Up there’s probably not that good, but down here might be good. It’s beautiful. You did a great job. Fantastic. Happy birthday! There’s, like, nobody even on Delaware. Aww. Look at what Perdyn has on. That was super sweet. We just went and celebrated our friend Maya’s 11th birthday. Distance. Social distance parade on Delaware, which is a busy street, but it wasn’t that busy today. It was really sweet, but again, I would like to celebrate more with our friends. Ellia, how do you feel about all that? Was it a nice little celebration for Maya? Yes. You wanna show the people your braids? Look what Ellia taught herself to do on YouTube. Videotapeーbring it in. Otherwise, it just looks like a normal braid. What is it called? A fishtail braid. Pretty cool, huh? So, we’re keeping ourselves entertained. What about you?
