Santa Cruz Shelter in Place 2020: Day 26

Day 26 of the Shelter in Place order here in Santa Cruz was filled with a lot of gratitude. I am really trying to be positive and be a beacon of light and possibility and hope in people’s lives right now. If anybody wants to just chat, if you need a little bit of hope in your life, if you need a little bit of love in your life, or support in your life, I am here for you. I am here for you, and I wanna support you however you need support.

Santa Cruz Shelter in Place 2020: Day 26Yesterday we received a message on Instagram from somebody who had been watching our videos and he donated $20, all the way from San Diego. He’s not even in our community. And the $20 went to Ellia, my daughter’s company, to make four masks and donate those four masks to somebody within our community that’s in need. So I just wanna say that right now during this time of our lives, and in this world, we’re seeing something that nobody has seen for centuries, really, which is this pandemic that’s shut down not just local areas but the entire globe. So, I think that the positive thing that’s coming out of this is people are really banding together. They’re supporting each other, they’re supporting their communities, they’re supporting everybody that they can and every little bit of positivity and gift-giving and sharing and loving and kindness goes such a long way. So thank you, Jamie from San Diego, for your donation. Thank you, everybody, for loving your neighbor and yourself and your family and your community. Thank you for giving back and for supporting each other.

Santa Cruz Shelter in Place 2020: Day 26Today was also exciting because one of my transactions in Aptos closed! 532 Cedar Street in Aptos is officially off the market. And I am beyond excited that my client can now abide by the Shelter in Place in the Santa Cruz home of her dreams. And I am feeling really blessed to be able to work during this global pandemic. It is amazing to see how people learn and adapt during challenging times and really come together to get things done. And it is always icing on the cake when you get to know your client and they become one of your really close friends. I am so excited to continue getting to know my client and I look forward to many celebrations to come.

Three, two, one? It’s on. Oh. Okay, you guys are with me. This is the response to my DBA filing, my fictitious business filing with the county clerk’s office, and I am hoping that they approved it. Think I’m good, I think I’m approved! And now I just have to publish my fictitious business name! Good morning. So, I just finished my workout, and out the window of my gym at home, I could see our garden, and looking out and seeing our garden, and seeing this, how these are all volunteers. They’re broccoli volunteers from a garden that we planted last year, and I just wanted to say how grateful I am for everybody. I am really trying to be positive and be a beacon of light and possibility and hope in people’s lives right now, support our community and support each other and support people that I know. If you or anybody that you know is in need of any type of support right now, I’m here, and please have them reach out. So I just wanna say that right now during this time of our lives, and in this world, we’re seeing something that nobody has seen for centuries, really, which is this pandemic that’s shut down not just local areas but the entire globe, minus Antarctica which nobody can get to anyways. Again, if anybody wants to just chat, five minutes, if you need a little bit of hope in your life, if you need a little bit of love in your life, or support in your life, I am here for you. I am here for you, and I wanna support you however you need support. Make it a great day, and I hope to see you all soon on the outside world. I used to do… Well, I used to, I will do it again. But I used to do local business promotions with my videographer to just get the word out about what’s going on in our community and help promote and share local businesses in the Santa Cruz area, and we would do a live interview and see the local businesses. But now that we are in shelter in place and not allowed to leave our home, I kind of paused for a moment, but I’ve been doing them on Zoom, so I have two that are ready to rock and roll. Jason, you need to get the tax one done, please. And then I just uploaded a new one, and I interviewed Adam Brouwer with EKM Metering, and I actually got to learn a little bit more about what his company does, which is awesome. And also, they are giving back tremendously. They’re doing 3D printing to create mask shields for people in the community that are in need, so that was a super big honor, and I am really grateful to have had the time with him. If you want more information, let me know. I can send it to you, but otherwise, the interview will be up soon, and his contact information will be available as well. All right, hope you guys are doing well! It’s hard to know what’s gonna be the most efficient way to do ’em, but that is– I’m filming our filming. Filming the filming. Hey, we’re on our way. Where are we going? Are you filming me? Yep, you. Drop off the masks. The mask orders are on their way, and Ellia’s eating a cookie in my car, which I am not– It’s a really good cookie. Well, that’s congratulations. But I’m not such a big fan of people eating cookies in my car. But you eat bananas in your car and they smell so bad. Yeah, but they don’t crumb everywhere. We have a special delivery for you. I’m so excited! Oh, my gosh, thank you so much for your order, Monique. Thank you, Ellia! I consider myself more spiritual than religious, but I take out all the steps when I’m selling a home so I do rely a little bit on St. Joseph for help. So I’m gonna bury my St. Joseph, upside down as instructed, at 159 Via Medici so that he blesses the seller, he blesses this home, he blesses the buyer, and he blesses the transaction. So… All right, all done. He’s in the ground upside down as directed. Hope you guys are well.
