Santa Cruz Shelter in Place 2020: Day 34

Santa Cruz Shelter in Place 2020: Day 34Thankfully on Day 34 of the Shelter in Place Order here in Santa Cruz, the parks, beaches, and the ocean are open for use again. So, Ellia and I took full advantage of the beautiful day and went on a social distancing hike with our friends at Pogonip! It was weird and difficult to stay 6 feet apart, but we managed to follow the rules. As always, it’s cool to see the Pogonip koi pond. But does anyone know who put the fish there?? Do you think the State Park does it, or some Santa Cruz human?

And I completed our first seller presented Zoom tour. So the shelter in place guidelines that allow residential real estate to continue to work absolutely will not permit in-person showings for owner occupied or tenant occupied or any type of occupant property, vacant properties only. So the only way to actually see inside a home that is currently occupied is either the virtual tour or doing like a Zoom or FaceTime tour with the owner or the person that is occupying the property. So we just did it and it’s actually quite amazing how much information you can get from doing a walkthrough on FaceTime or Zoom. So that was pretty cool, thank you Dave Dawson and your clients for their time today showing us their beautiful home!

Santa Cruz Shelter in Place 2020: Day 34 Later on, Ellia planted some more of our seeds in an egg carton, with soil. So that we can plant our seeds and get them started and then just transplant them in the egg carton upon fertilization. She planted a dwarf sunflower, basil, lemon cucumber, cilantro, and  purple turnip. Can’t wait to for these seeds to sprout into some delicious treats.

Santa Cruz Shelter in Place 2020: Day 34Then made our second loaf of sourdough bread, which turned out beautifully. Thanks, Anne! But if we keep making more loaves, we are going to have to start giving them away! Or else you’ll have to roll all of us out of our house after this quarantine. But it feels really good to make your own bread. And then we sat outside, drank some cocktails, and made Ellia’s famous camp chili, to go along with our sourdough bread. It was a wonderful way to spend a Saturday evening.

With that being said, if you are currently looking to Buy a Santa Cruz Home, I would love to assist you in your Santa Cruz Home Search. There is not the usual amount of inventory as we normally see at this time, but mortgage rates are historically low. Now may be a great time to buy, as long as you’re willing to be patient for your dream home to come onto the market.

If you are currently thinking about Selling Your Santa Cruz Home, now may be a great time to put your home on the market. With inventory being low, the demand increases. Meaning, that some homes are seeing multiple offers and bid wars. I’d love to schedule a complimentary and confidential consultation with you to see how Fox Realty Group INC. can creatively market your home!

You know Danny and I have been married for fourteen years this May, and this is the first time that I’m realizing he doesn’t like my life tips. I’m just trying to help him! Check it out, Saturdays are for coffee in bed. Look what Danny gave me! Danny! What? You got the bigger cup! Okay I’ll take the grounds. Danny gave me grounds in my coffee. I’m sorry but you gotta go the whole way, from the rooter to the tooter, but for coffee. Super excited that the Santa Cruz parks and beaches and ocean are back opened. Ellia and I are gonna go for a hike up in Pogonip. And it is a really nice day, it’s… And Sadie and Beth. And it’s a really nice day… And Finn. It’s a little bit gray, but it’s perfect. I’m excited to get out of the house. Hey kids. How’s it goin’? Switch over Ellia so we don’t get in trouble. Six feet! Shove over now again. It’s like the weirdest thing. It probably hurt too much for them to go down there. Yeah they probably didn’t… For the fish? Yeah. Like who though, the state park? Or like a human, a regular old… I’m not sure. …human. They’ve been here forever. It’s so cool! I wanna hold one! You should reach out and grab one. What is it? Is this the koi pond? Clay just took a bath in that! Six feet guys! I wish I would’ve videoed that but I was on my phone during it. But I just completed our first seller presented Zoom tour. So the shelter in place guidelines that allow residential real estate to continue to work absolutely will not permit in-person showings for owner occupied or tenant occupied or any type of occupant property, vacant properties only. So that was pretty cool, thank you Dave Dawson and your clients for their time today showing us their beautiful home! All right hope you guys are well and staying safe! We are going to fill, show us what we have Ellia. An egg carton with soil. So that we can plant our seeds and get them started and then just transplant them in the egg carton upon fertilization. Right? Do you need a shovel or something? Planted a dwarf sunflower in there, basil in there which already sprouted, Mmm hmm. Lemon cucumber, and then purple turnip. And now I’m gonna do, and I did a dwarf cilantro. A dwarf sunflower. Now I’m doing two cilantros. Do you wanna mark those? Bury it up here too though, that’s the thing on this one. It’s kinda mixed up. Okay. What do you think? About what? That cocktail that I just made. Oh. I’d rather a bit of the good lords nectar. And then what do we have over here? Oh well let me show you. But you better be careful. Ellia’s famous camp chili. That looks nice. Yeah. This looks really good, Shemeika. I’m gonna call it the spring fling. Oh I’m getting smoked out. Did you get a new phone? Yeah, I did. Sourdough loaf. Soon we’re gonna have to start giving these away though Oh yay it’s not burnt! because otherwise if we eat them all it will be like rolling each other out of our house. Holy perfect loaf! Yay and I did all of it this time.
