Santa Cruz Shelter in Place 2020: Day 36

Santa Cruz Shelter in Place 2020: Day 36Something pretty exciting and weird happened on Day 36 of the Shelter in Place here in Santa Cruz. Ellia saw a $5 in our yard. Upon further investigation, she found two $5 bills underneath a rock in our yard. How weird is that? Lauren, did you leave money there? What do you guys think happened? So mysterious.

Santa Cruz Shelter in Place 2020: Day 36

Today Danny made two rounds of sourdough bread. And I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that Ellia is a much better baker than Danny. His turned out looking like little burnt potatoes. I think Danny sabotaged the bread, because he can’t eat gluten, he was getting mad that we were eating it, so he burnt it. I’m only letting Ellia bake from now on. Speaking of food, last night, we had lobster and steak for dinner. Tonight, went on a virtual trip to Cleveland and ate what they would in Cleveland, which is chili mac. It was really good!

Later on, Ellia decided to give me a pedicure. How sweet is she? It was a pretty funny experience. She gave me the weirdest foot massage ever, she got my pants all wet, and there ended up being a sock in her pedicure station. Definitely not as relaxing of an experience as it is going in to get my nails done. But it was still nice of her, nonetheless.

Also, Danny said that he makes the videos. Well, he said that the videos are more fun when he’s around. So, I want you guys to vote. Does Danny make the videos more fun? Stay happy and healthy!

Danny said that he makes the videos. Well, he said that the videos are more fun when he’s around. So, I want you guys to vote. Does Danny make the videos more fun? Of course I do. Why wouldn’t I? I think you guys like to see us argue. So, Okay. And this is where we are. We’re goingーwe wanna go on vacation. We do? Don’t we? Not right now. We could go on vacation. Where to? Virtually. A virtual vacation? To Cleveland. I’ve always dreamed of going there. I thought you might. This is Ellia’s dinner tonight. Last night, we had lobster. Tonight, we have what they would have in Cleveland, which is chili mac. What are you gonnaーjust do like that? That seems like a lot of food for her. I know. I guess that’s how they do it there. That is a lot. Oh! Sometimes, the pleasure of working from home means I’m about to do a Zoom interview, and my neighbor is just rocking out. Can you guys hear him? Jamming over there. So much for a peaceful, quiet afternoon. What are you saying about me? Yeah, that’s, like, so much food. Mm. How’s your Cleveland dinner? Good. It’s like we’re on vacation, isn’t it? Feels like we’re in Cleveland. I will never go to Cleveland. Let’s talk about Cleveland. What are good things about Cleveland? Ah Reese! I think they got the Rock and– Ellia! LeBron James. I’m eating dinner. It’s so smoky in here. We’re doing another loaf of bread, but this time, we did two rounds, and I guess we’re gonna have to feed that sucker again. That’s like having another kid, all in itself. A sourdough starter. It’s even got a name. What’s the baby’s name? Phillip. Phillip. Phillip. Let’s see how it looks. Ready? Wow. I think they’re done. Well, I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that Ellia is a much better baker than Danny. These look like little, like, burnt potatoes. Oh, Danny always wants to be so creative. Danny! Just do it the regular way that the recipe says. Oh, my tooth! It’s so crunchy. Oh! Oh, my tooth! When your dad makes bread. When you make bread. Hey Jason, do, like, a, like, a flashback of my bread. That looks so good! That’s beautiful. That’s the best bread we’ve ever made. Where are you gonna put it? On the counter? Oh my god, Ellia. That’s really hot. Of course it’s really hot. It was just in a 475 degree oven. When your dad makes bread. Mom, show that bread. And then, do like a picー hey Jason, do, like, a picture of my bread. And then, when I make bread. Got that, Jason? I think I know why Danny sabotaged the bread. He can’t eat gluten, so he was getting mad that we were eating it, so he burnt the shit out of it, and now, it’s not that good. I’m only letting Ellia bake from now on. Sorry, Mom. But I’m so excited, because Ellia’s gonna do a pedicure on my feet, now. And your hair. Uh oh. That’s not good. Did you just give me a buzz clip? What isーoh, it’s a. That girl. Did you just give yourself a hole? No, that’s from the basketball, ’cause I wore these pants at basketball, like an idiot, and then, I’m slide– Um, hey, Ellia? Now you’re gonna give me a massー a foot massー a footy-pedi? That’s weird. Oh. Excuse me. Excuse you. Those are crusty. Don’t put them on me. Crusty. Put them on the towel. They’re not crusty. They’re nice. Put them on the towel, not me. There’s noーI can’t put ’em anyー oh, there, okay. Yeah, there’s a towel right there. All this bucket. Where’d that sock come from? Um, that’s my sock? I thought we wereー I thought I wasー why is your sock in the pedicure station? Um, because I took it off? Ew, your dirty sock is next to my clean feet? Um, and your wet pants. Why is my pants wet? Because you were dipping them in the water. This is a mess. But I don’t like you to film me with your laser tag camera. I love you, I’ll tell you all the time. I’ll tell the world. I love Ellia! Ew! What did you just find? A $5 bill just blew into our yard? And yesterday, and a couple of days ago, Dad said $2 blew into his shop. Danny! You have to come here and see this. What I just found. Yeah, money comes easy to us, in our family, right? Put a glove on, you gotta put it in a stinky dollar drawer until it cures. You can’t just go handling people’s dirty money. Do you have a glove? I think there’s one under the sink. How does that happen? I don’t know. Last week, $2 flew into my shop. How? Where from? Just from the air, man. Oh my gosh, what the heck? It’s like, It’s 10! there’s two. What? They’re under the rock? What? Are you kidding? Who put that there? Best thing I’ve ever seen. Maybe Lauren? The Tooth Fairy. Maybe Lauren put it there. For what? She asked for a mask. And then, did she just leave it there? That is so strange. Rainy day bike ride, here we go. Look at this garage. It is a mess. We’re gonna have to do something about it. Ready? Look how nice it is out. Yeah, you are filming? Ew, I look like a lion. You always look like a lion. I look kinda like a lion, too.
