Santa Cruz Shelter in Place 2020: Day 61
Yesterday was day 61 of the Shelter in Place here in Santa Cruz and it seems like the real estate market is really picking up! There was a couple houses that I was going to show this weekend and they went pending before I even got the opportunity. So, if you are considering putting your house on the market, or if you’re getting ready to look for houses, don’t hesitate to start now, cause things are really moving.

To reward myself for working so hard on my computer all morning, I went on a social distancing walk on West Cliff with my cousin! And holy macaroni, was it a beautiful day in Santa Cruz! Of course, I couldn’t leave the house without wearing my surgical mask. Since I might go perform surgery at any point along my walk. Disclaimer: I sell real estate in Santa Cruz. I do not perform surgery. I do not even like blood. If Ellia were to get a cut, I would send her right to Danny and he would have to deal with it. I get queasy. And yesterday before Ellia had to do her distance learning, she went outside and rode her skateboard, while Danny commentated. It was pretty entertaining to watch.

Real Estate Update Time: We’ve seen quite a few new listings come on the market this week. We are about 2.7 months of absorption rate. Which means that it would take 2.7 months for all of the inventory that’s on the market right now, to sell. So, that’s still considered a seller’s market. But despite all that, my client who owns 4300 Soquel Drive #226 is wanting to sell now! And we’ve reduced that property to $379,000, which is a really good deal. It’s in Alimur Park, which is a resident owned park, and the home is absolutely stunning with high ceilings, and it’s light and bright.
