Santa Cruz Shelter in Place 2020: Day 64
Yesterday was the day 64 of the Shelter in Place order here in Santa Cruz. And it was an absolutely gorgeous day, after the rain we got over the weekend. The colors were so vibrant out on West Cliff and it was really nice to get outside and watch the surfers.
And one of the most exciting moments of the day was getting new merch!! We got these killer new hats, courtesy of West Cliff Printing Company! If you would like one of these fabulously stunning Fox Realty Group hats, let me know, I will make that happen. There is a catch though, I will happily give you one of my wonderful Fox Realty Group INC. hats for free. However, in return, you will have to post a cute, funny, or creative photo of yourself in the hat and tag at least 3 friends who are considering selling, buying, or investing in real estate during this time. I’d love to help you and your loved ones accomplish their real estate dreams.
And of course, I did show some Santa Cruz properties today, while wearing masks, gloves and taking all the necessary precautions. And I realized another annoying part about having to wear masks all the time, is not only are they uncomfortable, but my facial recognition on my phone isn’t working, so I have to type in my code each time. Are you finding that when you are wearing a mask that the facial recognition software on your phone doesn’t work?
Oh, and I was having a good hair day today, which made me really happy, since that doesn’t happen much these days. Have you still been doing your hair and makeup during the Shelter in Place?
Also, I have some exciting news!! We have a new listing that will be coming on the market within the next two weeks in Santa Cruz. 2220 Twin Hills Drive is a super cute 3 bed, 2 bath 960 square foot home in a central location in Lower Santa Cruz Gardens. This home has a 2 car garage, a large yard with trees and flowers, a shed, and a nice backyard. And this home is located within walking or biking distance to an abundance of Soquel stores, restaurants, hiking trails, parks, and Dominican Hospital. This affordable home is a must see. Please reach out to me if you would like more information on this home before it hits them market. I am happy to help!
I hope that you are well! Stay tuned for Day 65 of the Shelter in Place here in Santa Cruz, California!
If you are feeling lonely during the Shelter in Place and want to talk please, please feel free to reach out to me. Know that you are not alone in this. We got this! You can sign up for a complimentary and confidential call with me using the Calendly link HERE. I look forward to chatting with you!
If you are within the at-risk population, and are in need of essentials during this Shelter in Place, or a face mask, please feel free to reach out to me. I would be happy to bring food and supplies to your doorstep. If you are a Santa Cruz business owner, please let me know how the community can support you during this time. I’d love to come by, film, and promote you on social media.
Real Estate Update Time: We’ve seen quite a few new listings come on the market this week. We are about 2.7 months of absorption rate. Which means that it would take 2.7 months for all of the inventory that’s on the market right now, to sell. So, that’s still considered a seller’s market. But despite all that, my client who owns 4300 Soquel Drive #226 is wanting to sell now! And we’ve reduced that property to $379,000, which is a really good deal. It’s in Alimur Park, which is a resident owned park, and the home is absolutely stunning with high ceilings, and it’s light and bright. Check out the Queen Bee Home Tour video of this home, which was entirely my daughter’s idea.
If you are currently wondering what the Santa Cruz Housing Market is doing during the Coronavirus Pandemic, feel free to reach out to me. I’d be happy to answer any questions that you may have. But on March 28th, President Trump updated the essential business list and added Residential Real Estate. Meaning, that Realtors are allowed to continue working, while exercising extreme precautions, as mandated by the CDC.
With that being said, if you are currently looking to Buy a Santa Cruz Home, during the Shelter in Place, I would love to assist you in your Santa Cruz Home Search. There is not the usual amount of inventory as we normally see at this time, but mortgage rates are historically low. Now may be a great time to buy, as long as you’re willing to be patient for your dream home to come onto the market.
If you are currently thinking about Selling Your Santa Cruz Home during this Shelter in Place, now may be a great time to put your home on the market. With inventory being low, the demand increases. Meaning, that some homes are seeing multiple offers and bid wars. I’d love to schedule a complimentary and confidential consultation with you to see how Fox Realty Group INC. can creatively market your home!
