This past Friday was Day 68 of the Shelter in Place order here in Santa Cruz. And as I made coffee, I was reflecting on my kitchen. And even thought it is not big and glamorous, it is quaint and allows us to prepare the delicious food that we eat on a regular basis. I am even more appreciative of my kitchen and my home and my yard now because we are sheltered in place and are home more regularly than ever before in our lives. So I may not have the grandest kitchen, but I sure do love it. What are you feeling extra appreciative about during this time?

Later on I went to show property in the Los Gatos mountains, and I was masked and gloved up. Man the view from up there was incredible. Talk about full tree line view, it was incredible! I could even hear some roosters next door. It was so charming, country living at it’s finest.

And it was such a beautiful day in Santa Cruz. I showed property all morning and I just wanted to go and be outside. And it made me want to go hiking and biking, and be at the beach all at the same time. There were clear blue skies and apparently the entire Memorial Day Weekend is supposed to be gorgeous as well.

And since it was Friday, I got to treat myself to a Happy Hour with a bottle of wine that my friend Laura brought over. Thank you, Laura! I enjoyed the wine with some friends, from a distance while Ellia had some friends over for a social distancing, tea party with some chocolate almonds. I hope that you guys are all enjoying this beautiful weather! And I hope that you have a fantastic holiday weekend with your loved ones.

Real Estate Update Time: We’ve seen quite a few new listings come on the market this week. We are about 2.7 months of absorption rate. Which means that it would take 2.7 months for all of the inventory that’s on the market right now, to sell. So, that’s still considered a seller’s market. But despite all that, my client who owns 4300 Soquel Drive #226 is wanting to sell now! And we’ve reduced that property to $379,000, which is a really good deal. It’s in Alimur Park, which is a resident owned park, and the home is absolutely stunning with high ceilings, and it’s light and bright.
