This past Saturday was day 69 of the Shelter in Place here in Santa Cruz! Danny made me coffee in bed, which I love. And later on, Danny, got a new skateboard, since he has a “Quarantine Mohawk” so that he can skate with Ellia. It was pretty entertaining watching him try to skateboard again.

I am really excited because after looking at multiple properties the day before, one of my clients fell in love with 141 Sunnyside Avenue in Santa Cruz. Her and I worked on an offer together and it was accepted! It is such a charming East Santa Cruz home, located at the end of a Dead End Street in a coveted neighborhood close to Shopper’s Corner, The Buttery and Whole Foods Market. This home combines old world character with updated amenities. Inside there is a good size living room/dining room combination with a beautiful gas fireplace. Later on in the day I was showing property and found this super cute produce stand, and I was stoked because I had to buy a few things. The stand ran on the “honor system”, so I left my money in the payment box. It was shopping at it’s finest.

At the end of the day, Ellia and a few of her friends made graduate signs to signify their accomplishment of graduating from Bayview Elementary. I cannot believe that our time at Bay View is coming to a close. It was such an amazing school with dedicated teachers and I loved the sense of community they created. But I am excited to see how this next chapter will go, with Ellia in Middle School. How are all you grads celebrating during these times? And what are you parents doing to celebrate your grads? If you are a grad, how does it feel to not be able to celebrate in a normal way?

Real Estate Update Time: We’ve seen quite a few new listings come on the market this week. We are about 2.7 months of absorption rate. Which means that it would take 2.7 months for all of the inventory that’s on the market right now, to sell. So, that’s still considered a seller’s market. But despite all that, my client who owns 4300 Soquel Drive #226 is wanting to sell now! And we’ve reduced that property to $379,000, which is a really good deal.
