Santa Cruz Shelter in Place 2020: Day 76
Day 76 of the Shelter in Place here in Santa Cruz was a Saturday. And you know what that means…Danny brought me coffee in bed! It’s the best. After all the heat and sunshine this past week, we got a rainy Saturday. And Ellia sprained her ankle when she went roller skating with Lila, it’s a little swollen but we wrapped it. Hopefully she will feel better soon, but it was a perfect rest day, since it was raining outside.
So since the weather was gray, we decided to do our nails! We used Color Street white for our nails, and I definitely am not a professional nail artist, but it came out really well. I had to add some leaflets to cover up some sloppy spots, but it came out pretty good. I highly recommend Color Street, it was easier to put on than regular nail polish, I think. Maybe I need to do it again, so that I can master it, but I think my nails turned out pretty nice. How did you spend the rainy Saturday?
Santa Cruz Shelter in Place 2020: Day 77
Day 77 of the Shelter in Place here in Santa Cruz and I got to interview my dear friend, Beth, on a Zoom call. She is a fabulous acupuncturist, herbalist, and just all around smart professional in the Eastern Medicine realm. During the Zoom call she commented on the cleanliness of my home and she said something along the lines of, “Never seen your house so messy!” So after that, I spent an hour reorganizing, getting rid of stuff, and cleaning. I am absolutely obsessed with cleanliness and it was driving me crazy having both Ellia’s and my work stations in our living room. So now we have separate work stations and our living room is coming back together, except we still do need to get new furniture.
Danny finished some amazing wood pieces today. He made two beautiful bowls and box. And after seeing how great they turned out, I placed an order for 12 plates. Danny thought it was a strange request, asking for wooden plates. What do you think, would you want to have wooden plates? I immediately had to eat a salad in the new bowl that Danny made me. Also, thank you to Rodger Powers for giving Danny the chunk of wood! We love you Rodger and Deborah!
On another note, I just wanted to comment on the sorrow that I feel on what is going on right now in regards to racism and police brutality. I just do not get why we cannot all love one another. Really, why not? I truly feel like this hate and discrimination needs to end. Black Lives Matter.

Real Estate Update Time: We’ve seen quite a few new listings come on the market this week. We are about 2.7 months of absorption rate. Which means that it would take 2.7 months for all of the inventory that’s on the market right now, to sell. So, that’s still considered a seller’s market. But despite all that, my client who owns 4300 Soquel Drive #226 is wanting to sell now! And we’ve reduced that property to $379,000, which is a really good deal. It’s in Alimur Park, which is a resident owned park, and the home is absolutely stunning with high ceilings, and it’s light and bright.
