Santa Cruz Shelter in Place 2020: Day 83

Santa Cruz Shelter in Place 2020: Day 83

It is officially Ellia’s summer vacation! So on Day 83 of the Shelter in Place order here in Santa Cruz, it was take your child to work day. She came with me to some inspections on a property out in La Selva Beach. And after coming along to appointments with me, she said that she does not want to have a job in real estate! It was just so gorgeous out, clear blue skies and an ocean breeze. Definitely not a bad way to spend inspection appointments.

Have you ever heard the quote, “Be water, my friend,” by Bruce Lee? I have been using visualization and meditation and I have been wanting to envision and embody water flowing. And to have a natural progression of flow, it seems really healthy, and it’s a reflection being easy-going and abundance and things just coming in and happening easily and naturally. But, if you recall, I had a pipe burst early on in the Shelter in Place, and then water was flowing. And now our washing machine is leaking, and so the water is literally and definitely flowing in my life. So, maybe I’m taking this visualization and meditation too literal.

And it’s official, I think I killed our sourdough starter, Phillip. It did not smell good.

Santa Cruz Shelter in Place 2020: Day 84

On Day 84 of the Shelter in Place order here in Santa Cruz, I came to the conclusion that my daily content for my Quarantine vlogs has been suffering slightly. And I think it is because I was getting a little burnt out on having to film my life everyday. But anyways, I am back. I am here for your entertainment and delight. And I am determined to bring you some content that is off the charts.

Also, I have an announcement. Once our state, of California, turns blue the daily Quarantine vlogs will be over and we will go back to our normal content; real estate, community videos, entertainment, and education. What else would you like to see? What information or entertainment would you guys like to see? I want to hear from you, because these videos are for you and I would love to know what you would like to see and learn.

I got to meet the electrician out at a home on 189 Hillview in La Selva, to get an electrical bid. And let me tell you, Jeremy Flautt, of Flautt Electric is amazing. He was extremely informative and helpful, if you need any electrical work done on your house, I would highly recommend Flautt Electric. The cool thing about La Selva Beach area is that you can get an ocean-front home with beach access for $1.6 million dollars, or more of course, but then if you drive 2 seconds away, you can get a beach home for under a million dollars. Let me know if you want more information about how you can get your very own Santa Cruz beach home!

Lately, I have been continuously envisioning the flow of water when I meditate. I think that water encompasses what I want to be in life, feel in life, and have in life. Which is just a flow and to be able to flow, to let things flow off my back, and to let things flow into my life. Do you guys visualize anything when you are meditating? Do you meditate? Do you have a mantra? I would love to hear about it.

Stay well and stay tuned for Day 85 of the Shelter in Place here in Santa Cruz, California!

4300 Soquel Drive Unit 226

Real Estate Update Time:

We’ve seen quite a few new listings come on the market this week, more and more each week. We are about 2.7 months of absorption rate. Which means that it would take 2.7 months for all of the inventory that’s on the market right now, to sell. So, that’s still considered a seller’s market. But despite all that, my client who owns 4300 Soquel Drive #226 is wanting to sell now! And we’ve reduced that property to $379,000, which is a really good deal. It’s in Alimur Park, which is a resident owned park, and the home is absolutely stunning with high ceilings, and it’s light and bright. Check out the Queen Bee Home Tour video of this home, which was entirely my daughter’s idea.

2220 Twin Hills Drive

Also, I have some exciting news!! We have a new listing that just came on the market in Santa Cruz. 2220 Twin Hills Drive is a super cute 3 bed, 2 bath 960 square foot home in a central location in Lower Santa Cruz Gardens. This home has a 2 car garage, a large yard with mature fruit trees and flowers, raised beds, a covered patio, a bonus room/shed, and a nice backyard. And this home is located within walking or biking distance to an abundance of Soquel stores, restaurants, hiking trails, parks, and Dominican Hospital. 2220 Twin Hills Drive is an affordable, and cute as a button, home that is a must see. Please reach out to me if you would like more information on this home. I am happy to help!

If you are currently wondering what the Santa Cruz Housing Market is doing during the Coronavirus Pandemic, feel free to reach out to me. I’d be happy to answer any questions that you may have. But on March 28th, President Trump updated the essential business list and added Residential Real Estate. Meaning, that Realtors are allowed to continue working, while exercising extreme precautions, as mandated by the CDC.

With that being said, if you are currently looking to Buy a Santa Cruz Home, during the Shelter in Place, I would love to assist you in your Santa Cruz Home Search. There is not the usual amount of inventory as we normally see at this time, but mortgage rates are historically low. Now may be a great time to buy, as long as you’re willing to be patient for your dream home to come onto the market.

If you are currently thinking about Selling Your Santa Cruz Home during this Shelter in Place, now may be a great time to put your home on the market. With inventory being low, the demand increases. Meaning, that some homes are seeing multiple offers and bid wars. I’d love to schedule a complimentary and confidential consultation with you to see how Fox Realty Group INC. can creatively market your home!
